Specialized wanted to do their best to bring the EVO fun to the masses. So they took their FACT 11m carbon frame – exactly the same as the S-Works model – and outfitted it with a robust drivetrain and wheels. This turns the Stumpjumper EVO Comp into a full-fledged shred machine.

Details of the Specialized STUMPJUMPER EVO COMP

When Specialized set out to design the Stumpjumper, they had a few goals. They wanted it to be the lightest bike possible, but without sacrificing durability for it. They wanted a stiff chassis that would pull around corners like it was on rails and a geometry that everyone could enjoy. All this then paired with the best suspension kinematics they could find.

Even the greatest suspension travel is useless without the right kinematics, which is why Specialized made them a priority when designing the Stumpjumper. Using lessons learned from the Enduro’s suspension design and more than 1,000 hours of development on the trail and in the suspension lab, they’ve significantly improved performance while creating a powerful, efficient and lively bike that every biker craves. In addition, the anti-squat behavior has been increased so that the chassis resists bobbing better. Cornering obstacles are now also better swallowed, resulting in less lost speed. Bottom line? The Stumpjumper rocks every trail downhill in a controlled manner, yet climbs every climb up with ease.

The S-sizing geometry of the Stumpjumper hits the sweet spot. Long, low, flat, a low offset fork, a steeper seat tube angle – it all makes your ride a better experience. With the adjustable Flip Chip, you can tailor the bike to any conditions and make sure your Stumpjumper is tuned for any terrain.

When Specialized introduced the SWAT Box on the Stumpjumper, they increased the storage space. On this Stumpjumper, they increased the volume and added a SWAT bladder that allows you to hide an additional 650ml of water in your down tube.
