Future Shock keeps your hands and handlebars steady and provides more control so you can ride quickly, safely and confidently.

The unique lowered seat clamp design gives the seatpost more freedom of movement and increases horizontal deflection of impacts. The Pavé seatpost specifically controls this deflection for optimum vertical compliance. Together, the clamp and seatpost form the AfterShock technology which, in combination with the stiff rear triangle, ensures a smooth ride without any loss of efficiency.

The Roubaix SL8 is the smoothest road bike ever tested by the Specialized Ride Science Team – it reduces shocks to the handlebars and saddle by 53% compared to the competition.
